Ambhar Tequila is produced at the Hacienda La Capilla Distillery (NOM 1479, DOT 195) located in the town of Capilla de Guadalupe, Jalisco. Ambhar Tequila is hand-made in small batches using 100 % Blue Agave. This tequila is said to be distilled 5 times, very unusual in tequila production. Their Añejo is aged 2 years or more in oak bourbon barrels. Each bottle of Ambhar Añejo is filled by hand, then individually numbered and labeled. Ambhar Añejo tequila has and a deep amber color and a silky feel on the tongue. The bouquet is floral and fruity. The immediate flavor is reminiscent of bourbon followed by notes of vanilla, cinnamon, dried fruit and bitter walnut. Tequila Connection rates Ambhar Añejo as "Great".
