Gracias a Dios Tobala is made with 15-year old Tobalá that is distilled two times. It is vegetal and funky, with rubber notes of smoke and peat; deep and long, nuanced, engaging; smoke rising in strength. It is balanced and complex on the palate, with integration of discreet fruit and spice, and a hint of lime skinlate. It has a vegetal/herbal at fade, with good agave tones and profile; long finish, spicy and deep, minty and slightly tropical.

    Gracias A Dios Tobala (750ml)

This mezcal is sweet on the nose with strong perfume notes. The taste is vegetal with similar floral notes and slight hints of orange of citrus. This Tobala is at a very low price point. I purchased my bottle for less than half of what I’ve paid for other mezcal made with agave Tobala, making this mezcal a steal!

Sweet and vegetal on the nose. Tastes hotter than it is but creamy. Immediate sweet on the tongue. Also vegetal in taste but I didn’t get much funk. Slight citrus notes.

Lot 275. Creamy and hot. Pineapples and fresh orange blossoms. Pleasant mezcal lacking complexity. Great price!

    Gracias A Dios Tobala (750ml)

Gracias a Dios makes an okay tobalá. It’s perfumed on the nose. Velvet mouth feel. Mineral, fruity, and ash with a slightly metallic yet smooth finish. This is one of the cheapest tobalas you will find in the States. Unfortunately, a really good tobala will cost at least $100 so if you’re looking to save money this is a decent option. My bottles does not appear to have a batch number.
