Established in 1886, the El Texano brand, part of a family owned company dedicated to the alcoholic beverages industry since that year, has a storied legacy. Introduced in 1989 as the company's inaugural registered brand, El Texano initially featured a fermented sugar cane product. Paying homage to its founder, who entered the alcoholic beverages business by selling sugar cane alcohol in small Mexican towns while donning a distinctive Texan hat, El Texano evolved over the years.

In 2006, the brand expanded into the tequila sector, a journey marked by the production of the Blanco variant at NOM 1564. Presented in a 1-liter format, this tequila is noteworthy for being 100% additive-free. The Reposado is a blend of aged blanco in American Oak and French Oak barrels. A surprising combination of agave notes and spice notes from both barrel varieties.
